I used to do this exercise and you lay on ur back and slowly bring your knees in and out, or of course pain killers. dont drink so much caffine like cokes, coffee, don't eat alot of salt hope you feel better!! oh a hot water bottle, and lots of water use pads no tampons could help too.

Take Aleve (Naprosyn) with a few crackers or milk twice a day. This cuts back on inflammation. In my day, we filled a hot water bottle (still sold, ask the pharmacist) with very warm water and put it on our abdomens. Now, they sell heat patches (the hot water bottle is cheaper but you can't wear that around as you can a patch. I suggest a combination of using the water bottle at home and the patch if you are out), which my daughters swear by. There are many homepathic remedies for menstrual problems. Go to a natural store and tell them your needs and let them set you up with a period plan. Chamomile is very good for periods. Good luck!

my periods used to be so bad, i was get severe pains in my abdomen and back and would get horribly constipated....i actually went on birth control pills at 16 to help ease it a little..it did help but doesnt completely take away all the other issues...you need to actually exercise some when your periods come, i know you dont really feel up to it, but it does help...drink alot more water...i bought those Therma patches that when you put it on your skin, it heats up...those worked wonders for me...good luck

Hot water bottles and lavender baths are a good way of dealing with the pains. If you go see your doc there are certain pain killers that target period pains specifically.

Depends what age you are. I used to suffer from heavy, painful periods and was out of action for a couple of days a month. I have not had a mirena coil fitted and not only do I not have any pain, I don't have any periods either. I would recommend it to anyone.
