I know when my husband dropped his verizon phone in our swimming pool, he had to pay for a new one. Now, I got insurance for my son, he dropped his in the lake while boating, he got a replacement for free.

I don't' think so. I washed mine in the washing machine. Then tried to make up a story with condensation. They didn't buy it and they made me buy another phone.
