As long as baby is developing normally in other ways, this probably isn't a concern. My son started walking before his first birthday and my daughter just started walking at 15 months. Babies will often concentrate on one skill at a time, so maybe your daughter is learning language comprehension or small motor skills right now. Every baby is different,,,many skip crawling altogether and prefer to roll or slither until they start pulling up.

My son was doing the army crawl as well when he was 10 months then one day he starting crawling. There at first I thought he was going to go from the army crawl straight to walking. and that is what your baby might do. Each child is different and they do everything on their own time. So, I wouldn't really be worried.

NO, You have nothing to worry about. My daughter never crawled. She went from rolling to walking by the time she was 1 year old. Some kids do not crawl and they do what works for them and the fasted way they can get around to what they want!! Your child will be fine and on schedule with every other little kid. Good Luck!!

I wouldn't be too concerned if she isnt crawling yet. She is in her own way. Like others have said some don't even crawl, just skip to walking. Just let her get on her tummy alot. This helps all the muscles they need for crawling and getting up to walk. I know my son didn't crawl for very long. He was up and about very quickly. Also, I just wanted to let you know about parent center .com if you havent heard about it. I was on there looking all the time when my son was a baby. He is 3 now and I still find it very informative!! Answers to all these kinds of ???

I wouldnt really worry. My baby started crawling around 6 months. But I know a 1 yr old that is still crawling and never learned how to walk. Everybaby is different. Maybe she isnt ready yet.
Play around with her and crawl on the ground get her intrested in it. If it bothers you that she doesnt crawl yet.

aw...relax. Every baby is different! Some walk before they crawl, some never crawl at all. I have 4 children. 3 walked at 8 months, one at 10 months. Yes...three of them walked at 8 months. But my sister's daughter is the same age as my youngest (2 months older I guess...) and she didn't walk until she was well over a year. No worries. She'll get it before too long. If you are really worried, talk with your doctor.
We played "walk" with our kids. Sit them on a step (the bottom one of course) or a little stoll the right height, and hold thier bottle or favorite toy or sippy cup. They try their best to come get it. That's how ours walked so early...now crawling is another thing. Not sure how to encourage that one, but really...don't worry!!! She'll be fine!!

My daughter was a great roller too, like your girl... as long as they are getting where they want to go, it doesnt really matter how they do it! My daughter started doing the more traditional crawl at around 10mths, but if yours doesnt for awhile longer it is nothing to worry about. Honestly! I've read lots of babies never even crawl at all. She'll do it when she's ready.

Babies crawl in different ways, on hands and knees, commando crawl, crab crawl (where their knees don't touch the floor) and rolling. I wouldn't be concerned with how she's crawling, but she should be interested in pulling herself up around this age. I would ask her pediatrician about it. She might just need some encouragement. Don't stress about it though.

If no one has ever shown then how would she know ! Does she have any younger sisters or brothers that get down on the floor with her? You could also put her knees under her in a crawling position and go through the motions with her! Put her in a crawl position and get her to rock back and forth.

Some children never crawl - they roll or scoot. The point is that they're getting from one place to another. If you notice other developmental issues like a lack of eye contact or a lack of interest in what's going on around her then worry. Speak to your pediatrician the next time you visit.
