Since there's no afterlife, not even one scintella of evidence, then a suicide would be a waste. The only true meaning to life is to decrease pain and increase pleasure....all else is lost to oblivion.

While it might be nice to visit long dead relatives (if you can find them among the 106 billions souls who have ever walked the earth) without proof, its just fanciful thinking. The idea of an afterlife helped to cushion humans from the despairing reality of our utter death and annihilation. It does not reflect objective reality....sorry.

What really happens after you end your life?

Proactively ending my life? Not an option, I enjoy my life nor am I suicidal.

What happens after you're dead?

Your body begins to rot and becomes a focal point of fungus, decomposers and disease. Therefore it is most likely disposed of in terms pertaining to the cultural surroundings of said corpse.

Have you ever been very eager to see what the afterlife is like?

Not really. You have two predominant theories... an afterlife of either good or bad... or nothing after. So there's a 2 to 3 chance that you'll get something okay.... not bad odds at all. For me, I hope I get the lucky combo... a black void with nothing but a blanket and eternal sleep.

Have you ever thought about ending your life in a car accident?

On the occasions which I did consider ending my life and how; a vehicular means was never part of it. Why do that to the car? Then there's the cleanup for the EMS workers, costs to the public, and the chance that you'll take someone out with you indirectly or otherwise.

Seems to be an especially self centered way to do it... and I'm not advocating anyone do it at all. I can't help but feel that it's one of the greatest wastes that can be done, most problems aren't as bad as they seem; and really pass quicker than it feels.

I have died twice: once on the operating table when I was 31 years old and once from a stroke, when I was 59. I was clinically dead both times and miraculously brought back to life. Most recently I died during a stroke and was brought back. There is no afterlife. I can tell you that for certain. I do remember the whole process of dying although I was technically in a coma and did have out of body experiences when I had the stroke; floating is the best way I can describe the sensation. We are all tiny specks of dust floating in the universe. When we die we go to sleep forever.

I no longer fear death but I am damned sure going to live what life I have to the fullest because there is no hereafter. You do not go to Heaven. You float around for a short time and then your spark just goes out like a flame on a match.

Dying is something you should not worry about because you are young and just not ready for that process.

Ending your life would be a very tragic thing because you have so much more in life you can experience. Getting yourself into an auto accident might result in your killing or maiming innocent people. You might not die and you might end up crippled or in a coma for the rest of your life.

I had an acquaintance who shot himself in the head when his wife left him. He did not die but he did become a paraplegic for the rest of his life and he was worse off than ever.

Take this life you have been given. Be grateful for the chance to live and do constructive things. God breathed life into you and your should be grateful for the spark of humanity your have been given.

You do not get a second chance to "live" once you die.

All those fancy near death experiences are just the brain shorting out because not enough blood is getting to the system. There is nothing paranormal in death.Quit dramatizing death because there is no romance in death; you are just a stone cold piece of meat that rots fairly quickly.

At one point, I did consider such a thing, but am glad now that I chickened out. I later discovered that I didn't know anything about death or even the purpose for living. All I knew was that I didn't enjoy my life. Now I do. Things have changed, inside and out. Let me urge you not to take man's opinion or even your own feelings about this matter as truth. Go to an authoritative source, specifically the Gospel of John, and ponder the truth that is revealed by the only One who has come back to tell about it, then was seen by over 500 eye-witnesses ascending to heaven - Jesus. It's hard to argue with an empty tomb and the historical evidence of so many witnesses. If it had not been true, the Biblical letters would have never been so widely circulated and believed.

Be leery of the reports from those who have been resuscitated after a brief period of time and come back with a vision. There are deceiving spirits at work in this world and some of these reports are contradicted by God's written word.

Yes, but the question is can you part yourself from your ever growing desire to know or do you instinctively have to know and decide your own fate? However, consider the other possibilties that can come from this. You may die and expect to see god and instead made the hand of evil and burn for eternity. Myself, I'd rather live life for what it is and not worry about death until my due time. I believe in god and expect my divinity to ascend unto him, but I god meant for us to live and i think i should abide by his request seeming hes givin so much. i know this is just a thought, but im just throwin this out there for ya. As for the car thing Ive alreadyt been in two car accidents and yeah thats one way i wouldnt want to go. Have you tried suffocation? ;)

Why don't you just be patient.

And as far as killing yourself in a car, DON'T!!!

It's one thing to want to die and I won't try to argue with you about that.

But don't risk the lives of everyone else on the road who might not want to die. It's your decision to live or die, but don't be f#ckin' selfish and include others.

If you can't be honorable in life, be honorable in death.
