You can't spot reduce fat (except for liposuction of course), so this is what you need to do if you are serious:
-Eat less fat and sugar and drink more water (always order water and skip dessert).
-If possible, eat 5-6 smaller meals instead of 3 larger ones (this is difficult, but will raise your metabolism).
-Do 20+ minutes of cardio before breakfast most mornings (anything that will raise your heart rate will do).
-Get 6-8 hours of sleep every night (preferably 8).
-Start drinking green tea every day (recent scientific research suggests that green tea has potent fat-burning properties).
-Do crunches and various other stomach exercises every other day.
-Do Stomach Vacuums (google it if you don't know)!!!
-Be consistent! Most people don't have the time or self-control to really lose weight and get their stomach into the shape they want. Good luck.

A combination of things can help you achieve a more toned abdomen: leg lifts, crunches, sit-ups packaged with eating healthy and getting continuous exercise. I do a machine at the gym that you twist your upper body while seated; belive me, it has worked wonders.

I don't know if you want to spend the $100 to buy one but I have an Ab Lounge, ya know the chair thingy that Peter Brady advertizes on TV. It's fantastic and fun to use. I get great results. I highly recommend it for flattening your tummy. I like it too because it doesn't build my butt and legs like all the other machines do. Good luck to you!

Three second crunches. They are sit ups that you go up half way then hold for a three count. Then return back on a three count.
