Actually, I know why. I'm just wondering if you know why.

Most of the answers so far have been great, but I'm thinking the Tar Heel fan is going to get the nod here. I graduated from UNC myself!

I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that the NBA is full of showdogging thugs who spend more time dunking than passing, and have lost the passion for teamplay that was instilled in them as kids?

Just a guess. :) I'm a college ball fan myself. GO HEELS!

Because the NBA has practically turned into streetball. The fundementals are gone. Every team tries to be a "showtime" team now. College ball is where it's at right now. They are forced to learn the game. It's too bad that these college guys don't care about they game and just want to make the big bucks and jump to the NBA where they take a few years to even be able to compete because they have to learn how to not pass and not play as a team.

This of course is a gross generalization from a grumpy, former NBA fan. Pay no attention to me or my answer here. Thanks.

Becuse there are no fundamentals left, it is all show focused on one player of a game. If they are so good, why do they need a team, they should go out on their own. Plus the fact that in the NBA you can have 2 pivot feet and take 6 steaps without dribbling before you are called for a walk. That is why they lose in the olympics all the time!

Because it has become a one man show on most teams. For most NBA teams, the team concept has gone out the window. It has now become, can Kobe out score LaBron tonight and maybe I can get 10 points from someone else.

Plus a lot of the players look and act like G's with too much money!

1) You're tired of the off-court antics of people that would probably be in jail if it weren't for basketball
2) The entire regular season is just a warm-up routine for the playoffs
3) Hometown refs (especially in the playoffs)
4) Ron Artest, Alan Iverson, Latrell Spreewell, Shaq & Kobe (I pray for career-ending injuries every time one of them touches the ball)
5) It's boring unless you're watching the Phoenix Suns

Because it's not real basketball. They don't play team ball, it's all about isolation and playing one-on-one. They steal players with money from the real basketball league (aka college basketball). It's all about the individual in the No Basketball Allowed league.

Too much showboating and endless whining from over-paid prima donnas, rather than some solid games and fierce competition

because you hate black people and foreigners?
because the didn't give you your shot?
because basketball is for sissies?
because the NBA is a bunch of spoiled rich kids with no sense of teamwork or morals?
because you think the WNBA is better?
because your mother ran off with the (insert local basketball team here)?
