I really need to know what song this is. I know i havent given much information. Its a song, sounds a lot like joy division or new order, that sort of vocal style with a deep voiced vocalist. The song has lots of industrial sounds going on the background, clanking, metal hitting metal, that sort of thing, which forms the beat of the track, and also has a very distinct punchy bass line.

The only place i know it was featured was on an old (mid-nineties) UK tv show which dealt with inventions and new technology, but for the life of me i cant remember the name of the show!

I have a strong suspicion that this is a Depeche Mode track and the voice is Dave Gahan's.

In fact it is, I have just looked it up for you, the song is:

'People Are People' by Depeche Mode.

The programme was 'It'll Never Work' (I haven't seen it, but the song does have a lot of clanking effects.)

that's a really general question - it could be a zillion songs. "Blue Monday" by New Order was a very popular song and could possibly fit the description. I'm not from the UK, but the song was certainly popular enough that it's possible it might have been used as a theme song.

Atrocity Exhibition with the help of entertainment branch ceremony with the help of New Order, yet I pay attention that excitement branch performed it stay first. sounds like it might of made it to their 0.33 lp yet Ian died and New Order took it from there.
