It's a true story of the ordeal of a couple whose sailboat capsizes at sea. I havent seen it, but the reviews were pretty poistive and the movie was scary with a realistic feel to it like The Blair Witch Project.

Dead Calm is the couple with the capsized sailboat. Open Water is the couple that went scuba diving. They are two completely different movies, Dead Calm is very good while Open Water is a waste of time.

It was 'Open Water', and they went skuba diving and get left behind. To the person who said it was 'terrible'. It wasn't. It was realistic (which is what I think the director was going for). That's what'd happen if people were stranded in the open sea. No special effects, no guns, no dramatic rescue... It was based on a true story too.

i'm not particular about this one, yet when you're searching for an same movie, secret Window (Johnny Depp) has an same twist in it... Sorry i could not answer your question, in spite of the indisputable fact that the movie does sound quite good :)

Open Water. But the coupel go scuba diving andget left behind. Its might not be the same movie you looking for.

I know you're talking about Open Water, but a somewhat similar, but much much better, movie is Dead Calm. Check it out.

IT WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!! IT OPENED WITH A STRAIGHT PORNO SCENE, AND THAN ITS THEM IN THE WATER FOR 2HOURS
