You can buy several things to help this.
Vic Vapour rub they do a child's one as adult one may be too strong which you rub over chest and back please not near nose as this is dangerous especially with a little one.
Eucalyptus oils which is natural and can be popped on to a hankie inside pillow case to be safe.
You can buy one of those plug ins that send out a nice smelly smell they now do one in a vapour smell for help with this sort of thing.
Run a very hot bath with door closed and then take baby in to the room sit on toilet seat with baby so she/he can breath better the natural heat and steam will loosen that blocked nose. Normally we would have a bowel full of boiling water and place our head over it with towel this is a cheap emergency treatment for adults but NOT BABIES. So bathroom one is safer and similar effect.
You can get nose drops for babies to put up before feeding but may have to get that on prescription from doctor but try chemist they sell anything without prescription now.

Vick's vapor rub on chest. There is a softer smell used for babies. You can also use a humidifier, Tylenol, Motrin. There are several meds available for stuffy noses that will also help with other symptoms. You could also have the baby in the bathroom (use caution) while you take a warm shower. I hear that might help too. I know I get cleared up when I take a warm shower.

Put a few drops of carvol onto baby's sheet or if you prefer onto a tissue or a piece of cloth and attach it to the top of the cot out of baby's reach, or on the inside hood of the pram. Make sure its away from baby's skin Also you can rub a little baby snuffles onto the baby's vest or PJ's. (You can put baby snuffles onto the baby's skin but in case of allergy best to put it on top of clothing). Both can be bought over the counter at almost any chemist or pharmacy. Another thing you can do that my doctor swears by is run hot water into the bath or sink in the bathroom until room fills up with steam then sit on the toilet or on a seat in the bathroom with your baby for a few minutes. (Stay a good bit away from the hot water incase of accidents)This will help clear blocked noses etc. Any Chemist of Pharmacist will help you get the best thing for your baby depending on age and weight if you ask them. Hope your baby feels better soon.

There's a thing that we used to put on the kids pillows when they were babies and it used to evaporate slowly during the night and I can't think what it was for the life of me but if someone else remembers perhaps they will say what it is. Sorry, started to answer the question, mind went blank and forgot what it was called. Think it was called snuffle-babe or something like that and had Albas oil in it.

There is a mixture of warm water and salt that your Doctor should know about. put a few drops in and then use one of those little sucky plunger type things that you get from the hospital to suction it out. Also they have at the drug store, vix vapor rub bath gel...it works pretty good. Hope the baby is feeling better soon..

Sit in a bathroom and turn the shower on hot. The steam will help loosen the mucus in his head. Then you take a bulb syringe and gently suck the mucus out. DO NOT put the syringe any further up his nose than the very opening. He could struggle and it would really hurt him. Get someone to help you. One to hold him and one to get the mucus.

When my daughter has a cold i burn eucalyptus oil in the living room or wherever we are. it helps with her stuffed up nose. at bedtime i put some olbas oil for children on a tissue near her cot and rub her with the baby version of vicks. also i prop her up slightly with a pillow under her sheets which makes it easier to breathe.

When I was a child my mom always used to rub my chest with camphor oil and put a few drops on my pillow at night it always helped. You could also rub a bit under the nose.

try friars balsam, its excellent for clearing congestion. Put it in a basin with hot water and hold your baby over the basin, not too close though!
