Personally, I don't think it should be a matter of age so much as a matter of personal responsibility. Anyone who is not supporting themselves - i.e. still living with parents, not working full time, and not carrying their own weight - should not have any say in how the government works.

You need at least a year out on your own before you really understand what life is about.

(sure, use it, but if you have a liberal teacher, you'll get an F)

The voting age has already been reduced to 18 in deference to those who have joined the military service at this age. Any further reduction would be counterproductive. Most people younger that this (and some a good deal older) just are not sufficiently educated and experienced to make an informed decision. my honest belief is that the voting age should be raised to 21, but I do have a great respect for the young people in the armed services who have matured beyond their years, and especially for those who have been injured or made the supreme sacrifice for us all.

properly if we waited for journey to get human beings vote casting we would might desire to attend lots longer. If we waited for knowledgeable voters then approximately 50% of the registered voters will possibly not at all be allowed to vote. In different words i'm effective with the present vote casting age. in the event that they made the driving age 18 which may be effective, make it a uniform gadget and 18 is a elementary age. maximum States do no longer provide an entire license previously 18 besides so a strategies as i be attentive to. they provide a Junior License, it extremely is close to an entire license yet that could merely be greater handy to declare 18. As to eating 21 is effective. Has absolutely everyone ever regarded in to the actual effects of alcohol? in keeping with possibility it extremely is merely greater youngsters that choose for to drink. merely settle for you could't and supply over it. regardless of the undeniable fact that no longer as undesirable as that oh we can vote or flow to war yet can't drink. Yeah how many are prepared to flow to war? It became one component whilst the draft became occurring, yet now you're able to desire to hitch and maximum whining approximately which will possibly not at all flow sign in.

I think Yes, they should lower the voting age group, because there
are so many students out there that are so into politics and have been studying the way of the world. They will become our next
President, Government and Mayor. So they should be aloud freedom speech and the right to vote as well. The right age limit
should start at the age 16 yr's of age.

Yes, Native New Yorker, most people under 21 are idiots...but working in customer service you soon learn that almost everybody is an idiot.

If you are old enough to work and pay taxes you should be able to vote. I think some teenagers are more informed than some 40 and 50 year olds that I know.

18 or 19 kids in High School will only vote for what there teachers tell them to or what mom or dad wants them to. They need to go out and live on there own in the real world before they even think about voteing.
