I asked this question yesterday, some kind people wants more details. Thanks. Yes it makes noise while sitting idle. When started cold, the noise the worst. After shift gear to back up, noise reduced a bit, but it is there, not goen. After half hours driving, it gets better. The noise comes from the front, I thought is under the hood, but I cannot pin point-even shops have different says. It is not the belt noise for sure. The noise is nothing high pitch or sharp, just the heavy vibration. Thank you all.

could be a pulley on your belt. remove your belt and start the car see if noise goes away. only let the car run for a minute or two as the water wont circulate without the belt and will get hot very quickly.

Sounds like it could be something simple as a loose exhaust pipe or anything that vibrates depending on how your engine is running!
When your engine is cold it's going to shake more until it warms up. Under a load, like putting it in gear, the shaking slows down!
Good luck!

ANYTIME, you have any type of automotive question, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS, provide the Year, Make, Model, and as much information as possible. The reason for this, is because noise, problems that pertain to one particular make, may not apply to certain other. By what you are describing, it can ONLY be something related to the engine, due to the fact it occurs, the moment you start your engine. But that is the best information that can be provided, based upon what you've provided for information so far.

I would suggest having your exhaust inspected. You could do it yourself by just crawling under you vehicle (not running and cool) then start shaking the exhaust pipes. Sometimes your vehicle's heat shields come loose or other bolts back out (come loose). If you find the source there tighten it back up and then start the car and see if the noise is still there. If you do it yourself you'll save some $$$.

I had the same problem last week and my car just recently died in the middle of the road. Turns out I had a bad alternator. You might want to check to see if you battery is draining any juice from somewhere in your car. only abut $30. But that is my best advice. good luck and have a great day.
