Well because that's how all you dumb liberals act. Maybe if you actually listened to what he was saying instead of already thinking he was stupid you might see that he has a lot of valid concerns and ideas.

Because American youth is indoctrinated to believe people that speak like that from a very young age. Besides, if you're gonna lie to people's faces you better make sure they would rather believe the lie and you can be condisending enough to make them feel dumb for questioning.

Because if he repeats the same thing over and over again; people might actually start to believe it. Then if he says that he never said that (stay the course); people will believe that too. It's called the "please think for me, I don't know how" mentality of the neocon.
