I spent about 4 months researching this very question before I purchased my spa. I believe the answer to be Hot Springs Spas simply because it offers the best warranty. I have owned the spa for over a year, had one problem with the control panel, called the company and they came out the very next day, replaced it without charge.

They pioneered their outter shell material which is a rigid polymer that offers low maintenance and rigid durability. Their acrylic interior is a single solid surface that is impact resistant, will never delaminate and is easy to maintain. The spas offer a continous, efficient circulation pump that keeps the spa water clean, hot and ready to use 24/7. Because the pump returns warm, filtered water to the bottom of the spa, the water stays at a more uniform temperature. It uses 100% bypass filtration which means that all of the water passes through the filter before it re-enters the spa. Other spa manufacturers use a system wherein the water can bypass the fileter when the jets are on, which is the very time you are in the spa and need clean water the most.

There are no complicated heating or cleaning cycles, no programming, just set and forget the controller. It also features a lock out function so no one else can turn on the jet pump or change your temperature controls.

Finally, the Hot Springs spas are totally insulated, not just fully foamed. They have multiple layers of high density, closed cell polyurethane foam which is the same material used to insulate commercial freezers. Thus, the spa is more energy efficient than fully foamed units. You will find your operating costs (i.e. electricity) to be less than with other spa products.
