A skilled carpet insaller can cut out the burn and patch it with a piece from another part of the room (from in a closet/under couch) so that you won't be able to see it (if it is a plush style carpet with longer fibers)

It depends on the type of carpet. You may be able to cut a piece and glue it into the old burned area.

Most the time you cant cover it unless you use furniture , but try to clip it out and then brush it .If its real small try some peroxide , but watch out it can take all the color out.

take scissors or razor blade and carefully remove burned black portion. It won't fix anything but will look better.
