Goonies or Ghost busters, both classic funny 'scary' films, very suitable for the age group of your sister. Enjoy and happy Halloween. Oh, just thought of another, Scrooged, although it's a version of a Christmas Carol, it's very funny and a little scary in parts.

How about the original 'Halloween'? It has some scary moments, but is quite tame by today's gore standards. I saw it for the first time when I was about that age, and actually got a laugh out of a couple of parts.

When I was ten I had a birthday party and told my mum I wanted a scary film. She got 'Something wicked this way comes'. You should have heard the screams of 30 ten year olds!!
It would be great for kids that are a wee bit older - looking back now, it wasn't really that scary, unless you have a thing about spiders!!!!!!

surly ages 13 to 15 they would have seen a lot of films that would be suitable for them to watch on Halloween..if not try something different like '13 Ghost's'.. good and not to scary.. well not for me... or even 'House of Wax'.. I personally thought was rubbish although my Kid's well 2 of them thought it was good.. ages 22 and 17.. there is definitely one that they might like.. my 17year old thought was good... 'American Psycho'..

The Ring, I think its ok for people that age, it is scary though, much scarier than I thought it would be (I'm 20 and I was scared), and they'll probably be scared of it because it has two teenage girl characters in it, one of who gets killed by the videotape. But its not really violent or anything so don't worry.

Sean of the Dead is great. It's funny but a little bit scary at the same time. Fantastic buy!
