Why in the UK on ITV 2, ITV 3 and ITV 4 and all other subordinate channels that derive from a main one do they have to put the logo in the corner of the picture? If it's to let you know what channel you are currently on then they would do it on ITV 1 and channel 4 and channel 5 but they don't, so it doesn't make sense to me!

I've noticed that as well - as if you are daft enough not to know what channel you are watching. Maybe they are trying to remind themselves more than us.

They do that down here in America as well as up in the U.K. They think we forgot what freaking channel we are watching!
I mean, it is always in the corner there, blocking the "view", sort of. You right; it does not make sense to me down here in the states like it makes any sense to you in the U.K.

Isn't it annoying. At one time I used to be able to press backup on the remote and get rid of it but now it reappears after a few seconds.

Advertising/copyrighting, if someone records a series of programs on a video camera and sells it buyers will know straight away that its recorded from TV
