yes it is better. the water should still get in there. if it's really bad spot clean that one area and then turn them inside out and put them in the wash. it will take a lot longer for them to fade that way

Not really, the reason is that people avoid washing them on the outside is that the color fades faster when kept to dry in the sun.
Soak clothes before a wash, a rinse should make it clean & dry clothes in the shade to avoid fading of color

Washing your jean inside out helps because they don't faid as much and to get stains out use a stain remover before placeing them in the washer

I always did this with my clothes, not just jeans but shirts too. In my opinion they seemed to come out cleaner, brighter and softer. It helps the clothes keep their color. I did it this way too for when I put them in the dryer.

The soap runs in ....and you put them inside out so that the color of the jeans wont fade, but you can also use cheer color

will answered the question correctly first.. dang! ah well .. that's how ya take care of them .. oh let me also add that when you dry them - put it on a medium heat and don't let them get completely dry ... i take mine out while they are still damp so that i can shape them - i pull the seems together and let them naturally crease themselves - it's easier on your material that way. ... that's my opinion .. thanks for the question!
