It is something to consider. No one wants to see their nation destroyed (at least not mentally stable people) but there is or should be a great deal of concern as to what will replace the US. Whether people admit it or not, we are the only free super-power and the main defender of Western Civilization in the world. It would be disastrous for human freedom, upward mobility, and rights if Western Civilization is brought low by Eastern Civilization which reduces the bulk of humanity to serfdom and slavery, reserves wealth for a priveliged few, and demands conformity. If this occurs on a world scale, who will be left to rise up against it? That is the main reason to hope America remains strong and vigilant.
