Because besides a very few, most politicians are dishonest because if they had to tell the voters the truth about everything they'd never get elected. Voters don't want to hear the truth if it sounds like it may hurt them and/or their families so politicians either dance around it or lie. That gets them elected, makes voters happy, but only makes things worse because politicians get use to lying about everything and that can cause enormous long term problems that the public only finds out about when it's to late.

It's much more fun this way. You never know what your going to get in the end. It's kinda like having a surprise every day. I have known many a new politician that had the belief that they would be able to make a difference when they got into office only to find out it doesn't work that way.
They find that if you don't toe the line with the established crowd, nothing they try will see the light of day. Then if they fail to become part of the group, no more money is there when it comes time for re-election. Thus the system perpetuates it's self.

People vote based usually on just one or two issues they find to be more important. Integrity, honesty, and loyalty are qualities that most don't ever vote on.
Feminists want the right to choice - vote democratic
NRA members want guns - vote republican
PEDA wants everyone to eat veggies and save animals - vote democrats or extreme 3rd party
And some where in there is the independent that doesn't base everything on just one idea. These are the people that put common sense over single issues.

they have to lie on certain things bc they can not tell us everything bc the enemy would find out.Sometimes it is best for the country if we do not know everything. Most politicions lie so we have to choose out of the lesser evil.
I Know you lie. Most people lie to protect the feelings of others. Most Politicions lie to protect the country and if they said they would try to lower taxes for example they would not be voted in the people would vote someone who said I WILL LOWER taxes so it is bc of us too that they lie.
