Thats kind of a hard one to answer. True love differs from person to person. My mother describes it more as financial and future security along with compatibility and commitment, but that seems a little too blah for me... There are alot of men that fit that for me. I think it is a feeling you get inside, safe, honest, true.... All of those things... Being scared is normal, before I met my husband I had gone through a bad relationship so when he came into my life I forced myself to stay neutral with my feelings, so for a long while I never admitted to myself that I was in love with him. Be careful of that, you may end up sad and lonely if you don't take a chance and open up.

love is so complex...it think the definition of true love is very personal. It depends on what you want from a partner and what makes you feel deeply loved. Is the person you're with offering that and feeling those needs? I guess that is one way to know true love...there just aren't any gurantees...it's scary and exhilirating all at the same time....love's an amazing journey!

you will know someone truely loves you when they accept you as they find you, not trying to change you but to embrace you as you are faults and all.

you will just feel it when it happens. no one will have to tell you when you find real love, you'll know. maybe you should stop looking in every relationship and pray to God to send you someone He wants you with.

There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.
