When i first installed my ipod, my d drive some how got uninstalled, apart from that everything was fine, now all the songs have been removed, and when i try to import songs into itunes i get an error message (50)?? i had been using it for months with no problems so i dont know whats happened, and its doing my head in!!

The exact same thing happened to me. I just had to download stuff again. It's a pain.

I lost all my songs one time when i accidently let it sychronise with media player and deleted all my songs and only kept the ones on my comp :( had to re-rip them all.

try system restore.. go back as far as you can... then try it again...

may be you should be careful about it or have backup for it.
