primary need: water, food, clothing(depending on climate)
Secondary need: shelter (depending on climate), companionship

Primary needs are shelter, food and water and clothing, they are the things that you cannot live without. Secondary needs are books, cars and other things that you could live without but that you need in order to have a good life.

primary needs are things you cant do without eg food clothing and shelter while secondary things are things you can do without eg cars
