For now, only God knows. Future generations will have a better perspective than we have had. There are so many variables to take into account that give reasonable doubt. Besides, many rulers in the past have done the unthinkable just to stay in power or to justify their political actions. The best example I can recall of the 20th century is Adolf Hitler who got away with the massacre of more than 7 million Jews. He convinced the majority of his people that he was doing the right thing in order to protect Germany just with his charismatic speech. Bush's oratory skills are no match, so he had to do it in a very unfortunate pragmatic way.
After Nixon's Watergate episode and the Clinton-Lewinsky sex scandal, how can American citizens still believe that their presidents tell the truth about anything.

Not sure about London or Madrid but YES!!! on 9/11. Do you honestly believe that a plane could get that close to the Pentagon? NO! It wasn't even a plane that hit it. There was no plane parts at the crash. No one smelled jet fuel but did smell explosives. The twin towers toppled like they were laced with explosives! This was a reason to start a war. The government needed something big to get the American people to follow along with such a thing as this fictitious war on terrorism. THE UNITED STATES ARE THE REAL TERRORISTS! Peace!

I believe there is a lot more to 9-11 then we will ever know. It is scary to think that our own government would innocent people like that. But then look at the innocent people that have been killed by the U.S. in Iraq. So I guess it is not so far fetched.
I can not believe that the government did not know about 9-11 prior to it happening. It was handled poor in 2001 and is still being handled poorly today. I mean seriously, they just found more bones at the trade center site. It is 5 years later, they shouldn't be still finding people there.

9/11 is the only one that I have researched in depth AND BOTH SIDES.I stress that because it is important.
I will pick the 9/11 commission report and 'the new pearl harbour" by Griffin as recommended reading material.

OH, THAT IS A GREAT QUESTION.
I think it is very possible, especially the United States, led by George W. Bush and his administration.
Anything that would benefit these guys, such as scaring the world, if it would keep them in office, they would do it.
They are such assholes.
