The sense of humour is a quality in humans irrespective of gender.
However not all humans have this quality,besides if the hum our is against a individual,he may not consider it as a humour but he will read between lines and then it turns in to a personal remark which in many cases results in a debate.
The humour should not be a case of personal oriented.

I don't think that matters at all. It's the individual "person" and their personality that reflects humor. I've never noticed a big difference between men and women on that one.

I say men, women are too overly sensitive about everything. You just cant joke with them otherwise they take offense to many things. They take things way too personally.
