Candles are nice... or the tart warmers.... gift certificate to a home decor store (in case you don't know their tates too well). A nice bottle of wine is also a welcome gift to some.

It will depend on your friends interests, but most people who buy a new house are excited about doing things for the house. Go for a gift certificate to Home Depot or Lowe's. Even if they don't need materials for repairs or upgrades, both places offer landscaping material, plants, and appliances.

See what their doing their house in, and get them something to go with that theme. Candles are always a good gift, you can never have to many. People get sick of picture frames though. Decor for their yard is good also. Have fun

Something useful for the house or something goes along with your friend's decorating style.

Candles, pot pourrii holders and centerpieces are common house warming gifts.

Just try to think of what they are like. Towels are nice but Value City has a nice vibrating chair (for relaxation) with an ottoman for $80.00. I am sure that if they are your friends they will love anything that you get for them.

What about a gift certificate to Pier One, Bed, Bath, and Beyond or similar stores? It is so much fun to pick out your own stuff for your new home.

Make your friends dinner. Moving is such a stressfull time and everyone ends up eating take-out for a week. A homecooked meal would be awesome.

Plants are a pretty safe bet as a house warming present :-)
