Dark Shadows was so good even with all the bloopers . My favorites was Barnabus and Angelique. It ran from 1966 to 1971

Hands down Barnabas & Angelique. I think that they would have made a WONDERFUL combination if they had of ever gotten together (although they kind of did in one past life storyline).

I think that the bloopers really made it. There was one scene (later in the show) when Elizabeth (matriach of Collinswood) called Chris Pennock (actor's real name) "Chris" instead of his character's name. You can see Elizabeth stumble when she realized what she called him and then changed it to his character's name. He, nor the other actors who were in the scene, flinched when she called him by his real first name.

Side Note: I live in Connecticut and in Norwalk, Connecticut - there is the "Lockwood Mathews Mansion" which is a museum. This mansion is the actual mansion that was used in the "Dark Shadows" series as Collinswood. I'm sure that there is a web-site to show it. It's open, along with the surrounding grounds, for visitors anytime of the year.

Have a lovely rest of the day.

Wow. Man, that was a great show, huh? I watched this show when it was in syndication on the Sci-Fi channel a few years back-watched it from the beginning to the end. I love the character of Barnabas Collins, though. He was my favorite. I would think my second favorite would be that of Quentin. Funny how they would go back in time and they would have the "first" Quentin look exactly like the Quentin 200 years later! LOL, really, there were no stretching of the imagination there.
And, man, how many times do you go back and forth to the past and the future and then-the last year the show was on-through parallel universe, where Barnabas was in love with Angelique and ended up marrying her? This was a great show.

I remember it. The second time around. It was my mothers' fav show. It came back on in repeats when I was a young teenager. I got into it as well. I must say that an innovative soap opera is Passions. Have you watched that soap? It is silly but entertaining. I watched General Hospital when I was in the 3rd grade. I remember I used to rush home from school to see what happened with Luke and Laura. I haven't watched that soap in years. Any soap for that matter. I work 3rd shift so I miss alot of TV. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Dark Shadows-what a show! Barnabus was my favorite, too! I really did like it when they went back & forth in time-very spooky, but spellbinding, too! Unless I'm wrong, the time portal used was actually Angelique's upstairs room in the Collinwood mansion.
