To my boyfriend, that I think he is truly my one and only, and that I truly do want to be with him the rest of my life, and I really do love him with all my heart. So....here's a little background, we've been together about 7 years, with a six month break up. We've been back together for the last 10 months....and I still know he has trust issues, and doesn't fully think I'm faithful to him (we broke up cuz I cheated) well, he's been outta town since last night, and I'm supposed to go meet him up there tomorrow afternoon. I was thinking I wanted to get him a ring, nothing fancy just a band, and have the inside engraved with "I promise" and give it to him as my promise to him, that he's my one and only. What do you all think? Will he like it? Would you like it if your gf did something like that? Just wondering. Thanks all.

I think that is a great idea. If I was in his situation then I would think it was sweet and thoughtful. Go for it and good luck.

Hmmm....you might scare him with a ring, even though it's not a proposal, but still.....a ring might scare him. He may like it though. For you to say that you promise.....you can always do other things for him instead. You really hurt him obviously and a ring is not going to gain his trust back. You need to give him time. Take every ounce of you and put 100% into showing him that you will not ever hurt him again. Never make him suspect. Always be loyal and honest with him. As far as a gift....him gaining trust in you again is the best gift of all. K?

That'd be pretty nice, but remember... it's all about presentation :P
Any person can buy a ring and just hand it to somebody. What I would do is just copmletely romance the night out -- maybe you two have something or somewhere personal you like to do / go to share a night? Nothing expensive or fancy, just butter 'em up, then when it seems like the right moment spring it on 'em. Hope all goes well.

Ha ha ha... do you want him to remember that you cheated him at one time for the rest of his life by giving him a gift like that? From what you write, I dont see a trace of remorse that you cheated on him. What you need to do girl is to tell him how sorry you are for what happened and promise to stay true to him in future. Then let him decide for himself whether or not he wants you. You cannot expect material things to resolve cheating problems. If you think your idea will work, I'm sorry to say it might, but only for a short while. This is my frank opinion.

Greetings!

I don think that what you want to do is cute, it will only buy you the moment, not the lifetime you wish for.

Quite simply....."Tis time that heals all wounds"

Let it be. But do the cute thing just the same.

Good Luck

You know his personality. I would like it from my wife but I guess it might freak some guys out. I think you should do it if you feel like it....it's a really nice jesture and I think it will mean alot to him.
