I don't know how old you are, but if you are over 21 or even 18, Santa Barbara has a huge Halloween party near the UC campus, it's really rowdy. In Los Angeles (West Hollywood) they close the street and have a big parade and its really wild, even if you aren't gay it's a blast. Hollywood stars are often spotted in costume mingling with the crowds. Other than that, Knott's is pretty fun.

you forgot fright fest at six flaggs. there are a bunch of haunted houses in old town pasadena area, parties at peoples places. theres this actual haunted house in san jose out in the grape vine area its called the Winchester Manor. haunted. been there spooked me. but its pricey. go to a grave yard and tell stories or try to make a "contact". anything urband legend try w/ a group and if no one wants to do tell them theyre a chicken they get scared and end up doing it anyways. but parties,clubs like Rubes i went there last year. they are all good to do for halloween. hope i helped
