Any ideas of what to include in my daughter birthday goody bags. She is have a sleepover and it seems everything I think of she thinks is too juvenile for them. Obviously times have changed since I was 13 - any suggestion?

lip gloss and socks are great ideas - but I will have eight little girls - if choose a cheap CD at $8.00 that is $64 plus the other stuff. restaurant certificates - think a little smaller. If you don't have kids you would be amazed at how much a party can cost, even at home.

I wish I was her friend... and was ten years old again! LOL! That party sounds awesome!!!! But I do suggest not to watch 13 going on 30... the subject matter in the movie is very suggestive and definately not appropriate for little girls her age. The fact that the character is only 13 for a few minutes in the movie, and the rest of the film focus's on her 30 year old self, it will be more adult topics and definitely not for a child's level of understanding. Aquamarine is a great choice though!! Or even The Lizzie Mcguire Movie or Life Size are good choices too. Even Freaky Friday!

How about lip gloss, a gift certificate to their favorite fast food place, sample sized bottles of a shampoo and conditioner that teens like to use? I don't know-I guess when I was 13, this would have been some good stuff !

Candy, make-up, hair ties, small Lisa Frank notebooks, and maybe some cheap, but cute jewelry. Small toys shaped like animals (horses, dogs, and cats would top the list) would be a bit of a gamble, but there's always one or two that would love those and they'd all end up trading them anyways.

Go and buy some cheap (up to date) CDs girls love them, and they can be bought for less than $10 each some even cheaper.
How about Diaries, you can buy them anywhere for about $3.99,
