Im not as worried about them seeing the sites i go to, but rather my passwords and conversations. any help is greatly appriciated! i also have my Mac setup to shae the internet connection from the pc that the keylogger is on, is it possible for them to see what i type on my mac?

Thanks for a quick response, i know that they have some sort of tracking software, they have been quoting my chat conversations verbatim and i want to see how much they know, my dad is also a network administrator, so knowing him... he probably has it locked up pretty tight.

Download this, if you have administrator privileges on your computer. It gets rid of keyloggers. I use it regularly.

They can only see what you type on the computer the keylogger is installed on, so your Mac should be safe.
As far as removing the keylogger, that may be tough. It really depends on how computer Savvy your parents are. There are ways to hide the keylogger so that it wont even show up on the "add or remove programs" list in your control panel. The only was I know for sure that you can remove it is to delete and reinstall your operating system, which will completely clean your machine. I'd advise you to save anything you want to keep before doing that though. Good Luck!

Your parents probably put it on for a reason, and I'd bet they didn't give you administrative rights either did they?
That's why they are the parents.....
Anyway you should not be doing anything on the pc your not allowed to do, they did that to protect you.
All that aside, it prob. only logs key strokes and not voice....
So if your having ims with your girlfriend and want privacy do it in voice.
Otherwise stay out of sites you should not be in!

How do you KNOW they put a keylogger on your computer? Did they just tell you they did? Do they know enough about computers to actually do this? And why did they do it? Are you really young? Do they not trust you?

Yes the keylogger on the pc can tell them what you type on your computer. No, you cannot remove it from the pc.
