Immigrate is the act of coming to a country which is not your native land.
Emigrate is a verb with a few meanings, one being the act of leaving your native land for another place.
Migrate is simply to go from one place to another.

So, for example, John was born in Ireland and decided to emigrate to Canada. When he immigrated, he lived in Ontario, but later, he migrated to Quebec.
