I think I may have mixed coolants when I came back to college because my dad put one kind in while I was still home and I put Peak in when I got back here, now the engine is overheating and once when I stopped I could actually hear/see the coolant boiling in the "tank". I was wondering how I would go about draining the coolant in the car so I could simply refill it with one type. I need to do this by Friday morning so if anyone knows, please help out. Thanks, - Seth

dont worry about draining it out find out why it is overheating. Putting 2 different types of coolant would have nothing to do with overheating. It probably wasnt mixed and dumped in straight with no water. That will cause overheating.

On the underside of the radiator there should be a stopcock, turn that and the anti freeze will come out. If you can not locate this you will need to take off the lower hose.

The fact that you put in one name brand of coolant and your father put in another does not matter. Anti-freeze is anti-freeze, it doesn't matter what name is on the container. if your car is running hot you have another problem. The first thing I would do is replace the thermostat.
