This month was my first month back on the pill after being off of it for a month. My husband and I had sex almost every day, and we didn't use a back-up method of birth control. My period was 1 day late, and then on what would have been the 2nd day late, I got my "period". It was very light and brown at first, then got heavier and red so I put a tampon in; then 5 hours later I took the tampon out and it was only about halfway used, and I used a pantyliner after that, and today there is so light brown that it is hardly anything! It's like my period came and went in a flash and it was really light! Is it my pills making it this way, or could it be implantation bleeding? Let me know what you think.

That was your period. Implantation bleeding is very rare only 10% of pregnant women expereince this. It is spotting of a brownish pink mucous that occurs 8 - 10 days after ovulation and can last for 1 - 6 days. If the spotting is even the slightest bit red (bright) this should be considered a period. I think it's safe to say that you aren't pregnant. The pill can also screw with your cycle so I wouldn't worry.

from what I've heard I think that's too much bleeding to be implantation bleeding. Sounds like your period. Sorry. Your body will change sometimes due to different things (stress, etc.)

I can't really tell you but the pill does weird stuff to your body. I have had periods like that before but the question is have you? Wait to see what your next period is like then go and see a doctor.

Sounds like you could be pregnant. Your suppose to use backup birth control during the first month of the pill.

Could be either. Give yourself another week, and then try a urine test if no regualr period. And stop taking the pill until you're sure you're not pregnant - it can hurt the baby.

You will probably get a lot of different answers ,however, well intended. Your best bet is to call a doctor. Good luck.
