I love independent movies about drugs, they show the real thing and its very interesting. any suggestions?

There's one that's called Rush (I think that's it)....has Jennifer Jason Leigh in it. Good flick.

Traffic - Kinda like Blow, drug based storyline, but more in depth movie
Trainspotting - Pure drug film, shows Herion in all its glory and misery
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Cult classic, superb acting, and pure narcotic mahem.
Requiem for a Dream - Very dark film, and quite a chin stroker, not for everyone, but worth a watch.
Cookers - Another dark and twisted film about a group of people who make Crystal Meth in a remote house, very strange movie, but worth a look.
The Basketball Diaries - Another cult classic, with great acting throughout, truely one of DiCaprio's best performances.
Spun - More of a light hearted drug film, some scenes that will make you laugh, some that will make you cringe, and others that will make you think.
Lots more, but those are the best of the bunch in my opinion.

highly, highly recommend Requiem For a Dream!!
Everyone was excellent *esp Jared Leto*..very dismal ending. A powerhouse of a movie. But if you rent it, get the unrated version. The "R" version edited a few key scenes

But Trainspotting is brilliant, it will prevent you from ever considering the use of heroine.

Fear and Loathing in las Vegas is a good movie. not really an independet movie because it has jonny depp in it but check it out anyway

I liked RUSH about an undercover cop that got addicted. From the early 90's I think.
