Have you tried to say, excuse me I really have to get back to my work, if you find an answer to my question please let me know when you have an open moment. Been there, done that with my old ex-boss. She used to constantly talk and talk until I finally toldher that I needed to get back to work as the paperwork was piling up and that when she found an answer to my question to please inform me. It worked. After that she gave me an answer and left it at that. Short, to the point, but also polite.

I completely understand you dilemma! I have to keep in mind that my boss is the HMFH (Head Mother F***in Honcho) and unless I don't need or want my job, go back to school and get a better job ect.... I do what he says and go about my business. Just try not to take it home when you leave work!

Girllllllllllllllll I feel ya on that one. My boss won't communicate with me at all. He leaves everything up to me then when I do it wrong, he raises hell. He can't be bothered with teaching me anything. If your boss wants to take the time to talk to you, he must not be worried about the fast pace getting backed up. If he's not worried you shouldn't worry either.

first he is your boss. His risk is higher than yours.
A mistake will cost him money, while you are on fixed salary, no matter what.
You cannot change your boss, he can fire you or demote you
However if you are not happy, you can look for another job
