I bought a water pump but I don't know how to replace it, I have been waiting for free time for a guy pal to come help me replace it, but in the meanwhile i have been driving it, just topping off the radiotor w/water when I have to drive to school and work. Today it started to clank and rattle when I accelerated then would stall when I would break. When I turned off my car it was steaming. I know I have a mess!

Well it could be as simple as the water pump broken and the parts in it clanking around or you could have done some serious damage to the engine. I'd start with replacing the water pump because you know that's bad and see if it fixes your problem. Don't drive it anywhere else. Don't even turn it on.

Sounds like the water pump finally gave out! Don't run the vehicle this way or you'll be buying a radiator also!

girl go to the parts store like oreilys or auto zone they have books on all cars buy one. The parts store will even try to help they wont do it for you but they talk with you. This book will help you do it yourself it will take you step by step on what to take off and it has pictures i know nothing about cars but with that book I changed a distributor on an LT1 engine. I think that the knocking is a rod getting ready to go and they usually get thrown through you engine. If you don't get that thing fixed soon you will be
looking at serius money to get it fixed. DON'T WAIT ANY LONGER DO IT TODAY. ASK ONE OF YOUR GIRL FRIENDS HUSBANDS OR BOYFRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!

yea, now you have a couple thousand dollars damage cause the water pump bearing failed letting the fan tear up your radiator and allowing the engine to overheat to the point that it steamed. without proper cooling the oil cooked causing catistrofic engine failure. and the water you have been adding has been splashed all over the electronics and the alternator alone costs 200 dollars. too bad you can't "put off" walkin'

never drive your vehicle with a dry waterpump. You'll warp the head.
