Nursing school is hard work. If that's what you plan on doing, plan on working your tail off.

Not that I'm a nurse, or going to school for nursing.....my wife did attend school, and is continuing her education onto RN. Getting your nursing liscense is very tough work. Don't let that distract you though. If you had good grades in high school, and can apply yourself to each and every nursing class.....you will have a great time geting this degree. The career is rewarding, and you can take it anywhere you want to. If you move, there are nursing jobs available....all the time.
P.S. You must have a real passion for this, and be sure this is what you want to do before you start. Nursing is a very direct degree and field.......meaning you can't take what you learn, and apply it to many other college level degrees. Good luck and have fun.

Nursing school is very hard. I found reading my notes into a tape recorder and listening to them every day was help full as there is alot of information to memorize. I didn't party I studied every night. There are some parts that will be easier for you and some that will be harder. I had a heck of a time with the Cardiac section. I was a single mom and had to drop the child off at 6am and pick her up from school at 6pm I didn't get to do much with her until after I graduated. I think it was all worth it I love nursing!!

It IS hard work. Always hard. The job is hard. It's a profession, and there is alot of stress in this one. It CAN be very rewarding though, but I thinkyou'd be remiss to find a nursing school that is easy, and has a high pass rate on the NCLEX. You have to be prepared to pass the State Board exam, and to go out in the real workd and work independantly. Even after all that, there are still some that decide nursing isn't for them, and that they wasted years of schooling to find that out.

it is a challenge but like anything else. if you really want it you will apply yourself and get through it. there are many subjects to learn -some more difficult than others. 40 years later i look back and laugh about the things that seemed so difficult and how i sometimes got discouraged.anything is hard until you prove to yourself you are capable. life is hard why worry about it-just do it if that is what you want.
