Hi This is mostly for Carl. Yahoo! doesn't answer these questions! Players are just trying to be helpful. We do it mostly for players who don't know where to look for the information. We search for it everywhere and post what we find. Sorry we can't hit the nail on the head every time. But we will keeping hammering!
UPDATE; Since that isn't everyone's problem maybe it isn't yours either. But it was mine! You may need this information also. And loads of other reasons are there, all for the same questions. When there are no specifics we just have to guess. Then follow up with comments via e-mail and messenger.
Update your Java:
Test your Sun Java for latest update:

Please follow these instructions to enable the Sun JRE though your Web browser:

Hope this does it for you.

Log on to Yahoo! Mail first then go to games. This by-passes My Yahoo!'s main page and gets you around the error message just fine. Enjoy your gaming!

ERROR 999 answers and some help found here
http://www.murrayoffatt.com/software-pro...
I got this error last nite, but it's a broadband error!i have dial up.
i got into games doing this.log on to yahoo mail or messenger 1st then go to games. This by passes the My Secure Yahoo home page. You may find some games no longer open, here is why.Yahoo just did updates to the sites! Your old game demo is now stale and will not open games.
Doing this should get you back in. This works with XP and may work for older windows. Click on my PC ,disk drive C, open windows folder, next open Downloaded programs file. click on game you want to play to high lite it.delete it.Now go back to game,it will prompt you to download a demo,do so and page will open! If you don’t have XP or can not find the game file, Click on start, search, type in downloaded program files, open it then do the above.if thisDoesn’t work try going to tools, internet options, clear cookies.

I started having this problem two days a go. I can log in sometimes and other times I get the 999. Yahoo is wrong when it says it is spyware or virus or your isp. I have no spyware or viruses on my computer. Java works fine for me also on other sites. It is Yahoo's fault only. My regular spades partner was able to get last night and I was not. Yesterday afternoon I was able to. This morning I could not. Mid-morning I tried two times and got in. Now at noon est I can not. I wish Yahoo would not lie and say it is all the other things when it is their fault only!

Carl is right. I can log on but my hubby has not been able to log since yesterday. If it was a problem with our ISP or with a virus on the computer then neither of us would be able to get in Games.
