Switch off your computer and go for a long walk - every day! Walk wherever and whenever you can. Just give up one of your favourite foods and you will soon start to see results. It's not easy but once you start the ball rolling you will find that you do have the will power to lose the rest of the excess weight! Good luck!

I am in the same situation. I believe that if your will-power is so low, then it is all the more difficult to get going. I have joined Slimming World. The diet is great- its not a diet as such, just a healthy eating plan. Also, there is not limit on portion sizes. The classes are really good and u will find other people there in exactly the same boat as yourself. U should at least try it to see it what you think- losing weight is so much easier when you focus yourself, and this slimming club will help you with that.

"Will power" is just an excuse. You are lazy. Most of us are, one way or another. If you wanted to control your eating you could, but you don't.
Find ways to stay busy, out of the house and away from food. Go for long walks, and don't take any money with you so you aren't tempted to buy a chocolate bar or something. Make sure you are out of the house at least 50% of your free time.
If there are snack machines at work, tell your colleagues to bug you about taking food from them. Make sure you never have change or a dollar bill at work - make a five your minimum amount of money in your pocket, or if you can, go to work without any.
Identify the times you randomly eat - like at the movies - and don't go. It's no use saying you won't eat - you will, if you go. So if it's something like a weekly card game, stop going and go for a walk instead.
Cut the plug off the TV - seriously! If you can't resist sitting watching TV instead of going outside somewhere, remove the temptation. You don't need a TV to live!
In other words, because you are too lazy to resist the temptation of bad choices, make sure you don't have the choice to make!

Well i am just like you,i am 3 stone overweight, and have no energy or motivation, nor will power.
I dont know about you but i know why i am overweight,i eat too much, i drink too much, and take very little excercise.I watch too much telivision, and spend too much time on the computer.
However for the first time in a long time i am feeling motivated as a result of your question. How about we do this together, from tommorrow ,i will stop having food after 9pm and reduce the portions on other meals,i will have a walk for about 30 mins 5 days a week ,and cut my alcohol intake by 2 drinks on each day i drink.i will do this if you will do something similar, for just one week, and then compare notes, its hardly a challenging target ,but its a start, and if we see any improvement we will set firmer targets if necessary, are you up for it.

I have to agree it's all about determination.. are you wanting to lose weight because YOU want to? you have to find that desire in you.. when you really want something you do it with all your might..a nd if you really want to lose a few punds.. find way that are goign to keep you motivated.. start reading abotu the ins and outs of certain food you eat.. set your sefl some goal and try to reach them every week.. different week different goal.. then you will feel that you are accomnplishing things and it will motivate you to keep going.. every time you lose a pund.. buy your self a gift.. i mean its wonderful once you get started.. i think taht is the hard part ot start but oince you are there.. all you gotta go is keep going... trust me.. i've been there

don't set such high goals for yourself. if they are too high that you cannot accomplish them, then you feel as a failure.
tell yourself you are worth it and reach for the smaller goals. it feels great when you do accomplish them!

Get up and do it. Once you start doing it, it's easier to keep doing it.
