You know, the one where tim mccarve pops up for the last out, and The Tigers win the Series after being down 3 games to 1?

Yes, J-Far...it probably is because of tim mccarver. I find it very amusing that The Tigers were down 3 games to 1, and he made the last out. If they ever did have the nerve to show it DURING the World Series (they wont..FOX is prejudiced) I am sure mccarver would come up with some lame excuse, like the pitcher has "pine tar" on his hand!

I cannot even express the depths of my loathing for Tim McCarver and Joe F*ck (whose father was a long-time Cardinals announcer). They are obviously biased, and, more importantly, they are obviously morons. I hate Fox solely because of them.

I think there isn't much from the '68 Series due to how Detroit overall as a city is looked upon. All of the Detroit teams: Pistons, Red Wings, Tigers, Lions............they do not get respect from the national status. For some reason, whenever we have a Detroit team do well (as in beating a "great team" i.e. N.Y. Yankees), the announcers say that the team wasn't on their game, or Detroit was "lucky". You know....some kind of b.s. Prime example.......during the ALDS--Tigers vs. Yankees.......the announcers were talking all about N.Y. When the Yankees were on defense, it was about how well they do on d.......when the Yankees were on offense, it was how well they were with their bats. Very little if any time was giving Detroit credit for doing as well as they have been doing. It just makes me sick to see how the announcers (FOX) are so non-bias. I can't stand it when there are FOX announcers, because they do not know Tiger baseball...they did not follow the team. Just aggervates me. I honestly think that the World Series (as well as all playoff games) should be announced by the home team's regular broadcaster. They know how that team is, and they followed them from day 1. Granted, it may not be bias still, but what difference would it make compared to FOX? Also, just like you stated..........the '68 series--Tigers were down 3 - 1, and they rally back and win the World Series. Not a word has been spoken about it (at least I haven't heard anything of it).

Tim McCarver being a FOX employee will be shown respect from FOX for what he did... don't get me wrong I think they still show it but then again put yourself in his shoes, would you want to see that again, calling the game... I think they should play at the end of the series so no matter how wins or losses, we all can recall that McCarver is human after all.

Good question!! You'd think the they'd show the '64 series at the very least. Was that the series McCarver was series MVP? That's the year they beat the great Mickey Mantle and the Yankees. I know that has nothing to do with the Tigers but is was a positive note for McCarver.

Nobody really cares about the tigers that's probably why and on top of that they are losing the series.
I must agree with what the guy below said. McCarver and Buck suck at announcing. I would rather hear Vin Scully then either one of those two guys. I can't see why they won't just fire Buck and McCarver and hire Vin to call every WS game. He is obviously a more entertaining broadcaster. If you have never listening to him you should watch a Dodger game. Go Dodgers

They've shown that replay in every game so far. McCarver pops the ball up in foul territory to the first base side. I think the first basemen makes the catch.

I'm guessing it's because what happened in 1968 has absolutely no relevance to what's happening in this Series. Mickey Lolich is a little too old to be the Tigers' savior this time around.

They should have just shown a replay of that game during the rain delay/postponment.
