You guys are ignorant. Is there anything you wont say to back the far right?

I mean you've just supported not questioning high gas prices. What is wrong with you all?

We live in a free economy. Can you imagine how high the prices would be if the government controlled it. It sucks & I wish there was more that I could do about it....That being said, what did you do to help fight against the high gas prices? Did you call your congress man? Write a letter to the president? How did that go for you? Whine? Humm....

**Somebody gave me thumbs down. Would you prefer that we put caps and regulated every company to ensure that we pay the prices we all agree on? Why don't we just tax the companies..Hey, lets tax more rich people while were at it! If you would prefer to live in a communist country, move to one. Remove the freedom of choice and the possibility of self improvement and see what you get.

Just because you're economically ignorant and clueless about the causes of high gas prices doesn't mean we don't question gas prices. It's just that we have seen the reasons and we understand the reasons. It is the facts, not your childish moralizing, that stand the test of time.

Well they think it is ONLY a supply and demand issue, which those of us that know better know that it is a political issue as well. Believe me, if the oil companies did not have to disclose their profits, they wouldn't. Their RATE of profit has risen dramatically, not only their net profits. We all know that demand has risen steadily, however when you see that --hypothetically-- they are making an average of $1.00 profit from a gallon of gas as opposed to $.25 5 years earlier, and the rate of inflation isn't that high--then you can only hypothesize that they are "price-gouging"

** I don't know if any of you remember history all that well, but Pres. (Teddy) Roosevelt (the first) was a republican, he was also a huge whistleblower on the big trust corporations of the early 1900's... What happened to the republicans?

You can only assume that Bush is somehow "in bed" with these large oil companies, isn't it interesting that he comes from an oil magnate family, and that Cheney also worked for a petro-company... when you add all the "coincidences" up, and the fact that he won't further investigate, only leaves one to assume the worst.

***MAX -- you are absolutely right, If I have to pay 1/5 of my paycheck towards taxes, I want to see something come from it. Not billions of dollars towards a war that only jacked up the price of gas, and killed many of our countrymen...I want free healthcare, a guarateed pension plan, my children to get a superior education, etc.

I find it most difficult to believe that you are a Republican! Words such as [you guys] and [far right], and the fact that you have not noticed, or refuse to acknowledge, that gas prices have fallen almost one dollar, suggest just the opposite!

It's funny to me how anybody supports either side. We are getting equally screwed by the right and the left.
Have you looked at your paycheck lately? (if you are self employed you already know).
Can you give me a good reason why 1/5 of your income should go to the government, regardless of which party is elected?
WAKE UP! Right vs. Left is a mirage.

We are at war in the middle east. Most oil comes from the middle east. It is fair to say that the higher prices are due to the inability to export and the increased use.
