i purchase a bmw 525i 2001 the power stering high pressure hose needs to be replace can anyone tell me what something like this would cost with labor included. Also where I bought the vehicle at is about 2 hours away from my home and the car does have warrenty is it worth taking my car all the way back there or just take it closer to someone elese. thanks

Go to a certified BMW dealership. If you bought the car from BMW (and not a private seller) they will honor the warranty. Power steering issues should be covered under warranty.

I believe the factory warranty is 4yr/50K so you are out of the warranty period unless it has an extended. Anyway, the labor time is about an 1hour(0.9 std), but the part is about $195. I'm guessing the total will be around $300-$350. It's a high pressure hose that uses a push fast release coupler so I would think that any competent tech could change it.
