I live in Kenmore, WA. At 8:30 this mourning our neigh decided to grind trees. You know, where you put whole small trees into it and grinds them up? Woke up my whole house. Anything I can do to make them stop from doing it this early in the morning? Not all of us wake up this early. :/

You would have to look into the by-laws of where you live, but I think most places it is 7:00 or 8:00 that you can start..or some places just define it as "sun up".
So it is probably legal, just not considerate.
It's now 9:30 or whatever, I would suggest you just get out of bed.
PS..It sucks that you work the shift you do...but the norm is that people work 8-4 or 9-5 or whatever...unfortunately it is impossible to appease everyone all the time....maybe try talking to your neighbor and explain your situation nicely and try asking that they hold off on the noise for an hour or two more... it couldn't hurt, if you do it amicably.

8:30? I'd say that was OK, most people start the work day between 8-9. If he knows you work late and sleep late then maybe you should ask him to wait a little. If it's because you choose to stay up late or sleep late, tough. I assume this is something once a year not an every day occurrence.

Well, I would consider 8am to be the time when people can start doing stuff like that. I suggest you go to your neighbor, explain that you work nights, and ask that he not conduct such business until whatever time works better for you, but they wouldn't have to do it. It sucks that you work nights, but 8 am is pretty much the rule of thumb. Just talk to your neighbor like an intelligent, mature adult.

Live with it. It's a once in a while occasion. Just because your household sleeps later than most other households doesn't mean that neighbors should refrain from going about their day. 8:30 is reasonable by any measure.

i belive 8 oclock is the time when workers can startmaking noises.i know they have to stop at 10.oo on weekdays and 11oo on week-end..maybe if your neighbor will change his hours of noice making askhim????????? good-luck to ya....
