35 weeks pregnant and have tickets to see an Elton John concert - not on the floor but close to the stage - is it safe for me to go?

Sure. Just dont participate in the mosh pit. They have been known to get completly out of control at Elton John concerts.

Wow Elton John, that's very tempting. But babies can hear in the womb starting at 6 months. So I would be afraid the concert would terrify the little one, because it will be so loud and even vibrate the womb, especially since you are close to the stage. The baby won't understand what all the racket is.

Ask yourself this: would you take a 2-week old to see Elton John? I would strongly lean toward not going.

I'd say yes. But you know how those Elton John fans get, with the mosh pit and stuff. :) It all depends on how you feel about it. If your doubting yourself, then maybe you shouldn't go.

If you want, make a pro/con list. A con could be you going into early labor at the concert.

Good luck with the decision. On the bright side, there will be more Elton John concerts in the future.

I so wish I had your energy! I'm just over 37 weeks and can't even stand without hurting or feeling tired. I say go for it! But make sure you stand right by a toilet and avoid the crowds. Standing at the back of the concert would better, away from the loud music and people sandwiching together.

Generally a dr wouldn't recommended since people get crazy at concerts. But it's elton jhon, is not like they are gonna throw chairs in the air and stuff (I mean we are not talking Metallica here) so I think it's up to you. Do you have seat tickets? then I would definetively go, but if you are supossed to stand up for 2 hours, I don't know if you can handle it. Think it wise!

I wouldn't go, but its completely up to you. they say that sound bounces in the belly like a fishbowl, that can't be good for the baby. Plus your having a baby, sacrifices are made from the time you got pregnant until the child is, well you can't say 18 cause its longer than that..lol, this is a sacrifice you will have to make, one of many.

How far are you from the stage? If you're in the first 20 rows, call and ask your OB.... Farther than that - as long as it's assigned seating, I'd say probably.

Double check with your OB to be 100% sure.
