- On one end of town, you've got Prospect Point, where each year dozens of lost souls commit suicide by jumping over the American Falls to their imminent deaths.
- On the other end of town, you've got the former site of Love Canal, where an entire neighborhood was exposed to toxins because their homes were built on top of a chemical disposal site.
- And in between, you've got the slums:

Niagara Falls is a tale of two cities. The Canadian side is a clean, tourist-friendly city with bright lights and plenty of attractions. NFNY is a cold, post-industrial wasteland overridden with poverty, crime and despair. Boarded-up buildings, dilapidated homes, and dangerous, neglected slums make Niagara Falls the American ghetto at its worst. It's so bad that even Buffalonians will come here and say, "This place is a hole!" And I'm sure tourists from third-world countries do likewise.
