Niagara Falls is a tale of two cities. The Canadian side is a clean, tourist-friendly city with bright lights and plenty of attractions. NFNY is a cold, post-industrial wasteland overridden with poverty, crime and despair. Boarded-up buildings, dilapidated homes, and dangerous, neglected slums make Niagara Falls the American ghetto at its worst. I live in Syracuse NY --- I'm in the military and just came from BARSTOW, CA. Niagara falls is heaven compared to Barstow. The first thing I thought when I was told I was going to cali was, oooh, nice girls, beautiful climate, and an awsome place to live. NO, its in the Mojave desert, the nastiest place on the face of the earth. It take driving over 40-miles to get to the closest gas station, and over 140-miles to the closest mall. IT SUX. Niagara Falls is even nicer than Syracuse. If you live there, be gratefull, its a really nice place.
