How often can you use hydrogen peroxide for brushing the teeth? how long will it take to get visibly whiter teeth? does it do any damage to the gums or teeth?

Thanks a lot

It can't really damage your teeth; it can make them more sensitive however, as it lightens the enamel on the teeth. Straight hydrogen peroxide is not the best choice for lightening teeth however, although people have been known to make a paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda and apply it to the gums. If you did this, you could probably do it twice a day for up to thirty minutes a day; how white your teeth are going to get is going to depend on heredity, whether your teeth are natural, whether they have a permanent discoloration from medication, whether or not you keep staining them on a daily basis from coffee, cigarettes, fruits, juices, or wines, and other such things. Everyone is different. If you are going to whiten your teeth at home, the best thing to do is get the whitening strips, do those for one or two cycles (eg, invest in two packages in a row), brush and floss after every single meal, and Plax your teeth as well. Also then use a whitening pen for the next 6 months for touch ups and maybe rinse with the straight hydrogen peroxide one or two times a week. You should be about 5 shades whiter within 2 weeks; but you have to maintain them as well, and not just one time a year, more like every two to three months.

Actually, after awhile, it will do extra damage than well. Granted, making use of a toothpaste or whitening strip with hydrogen peroxide in it may possibly paintings wonders on account that this is a small attention of the compound and deeply cleans the tooth as a substitute than bleaching the skin. However, gargling with immediately peroxide will finally dry out your tooth on account that of ways robust the chemical's cleaning is. It can result in a situation referred to as decalcification that's well-nigh the semblance of as a substitute unattractive light, creamy places at the tooth. I would not propose making use of immediately peroxide on a constant foundation. Just as soon as in awhile even as you sweep everyday with a peroxide-established whitening toothpaste.

I rinse with peroxide every morning and every night. 1/2 peroxide 1/2 water solution, you wil notice a differance in a couple days. it also kills bad breath, your breath will have absolutely no smell after you rinse. Cut back if you notice your gums getting sensitive, because peroxide does soften tissue so your gums may get sensitive, but i rarely have a problem. Rinse for about one or two minutes spit then let id foam in your mouth for 10-15 seconds.

Ive heard that it works very well. But there is a nasty taste after you spit it out. You should try Listerine Whitening. I had it and it is made with peroxide, so it whitens teeth and kill germs in your mouth and it has a minty taste. :)
