Go to a different doctor. Cysts can be surgically removed (local anesthetic, easy) but it does leave a scar. I once had a doctor shoot cortisone into one and it dissolved in a day or so. Sounds like your doctor thinks it will go away on its own, but it's your neck for cryin' out loud, who wants to wait?! Otherwise, I find they do not go away by themselves.

If your doctor says it's this kind of cyst there is no home remedy. Contact your doctor for removal. He knows how to do these removals properly. You can't give yourself a heart operation, right? So go to the doctor to get help, right away, if this is what it is.

My daughter had a cyst and I was told to use baby shampoo. I wash the cyst with baby shampoo. My daughter's cyst was gone after 3 days and the baby shampoo did not burn her eye which is where the cyst was located. But, I dont think you want to drink baby shampoo.

If the doc said leave it alone, you might want to do so. If it is a hard, pea-like cyst I can relate. I had them on my head. Four total. I went and got one removed and decided it was a farce when it grew back. My Dr. Mom said that the oil sac, which the cyst was encased in had to be removed or the cyst would come back. I felt scammed. Since it was a painless procedure at the doc's office, I decided to do it myself. I got a thin knife and stuck it into the cyst. I squeezed as hard as I could. It was gross. Then after I got the gunk out, I pulled the sac out with tweezers. I have not had it grow back and it has been four years. I did all four. One came back but I suspect I didn't get the whole oil sack. It didn't hurt me at all; I was careful to sterilize my "surgery" instruments prior to the procedure. Consequently, I did at home what the doc would have charged handsomely for. But if your doc says leave it alone, ask why? It's your right to question his methods. I wouldn't want that cyst, either. Or get a second opinion. See a dermatologist. Good luck!

You may want to try cod liver oil capsules. I used to get recurring abcesses and I found that was the only thing that took them away. As soon as they appeared, I would overdose on cod liver oil (taking about three capsules for a few days instead of the recommended one) and I haven't had them now for years. Cod liver oil is generally very good for healthy skin, hair and nails, and I still take them now and again when I remember.
