Why is it when you hear about dirty politics, most of the time it is with Republicans. They attack people and use them for votes. Why do they think it is ok to be insensitve to other people?
Examples:
Republicans sending out mail to hispanic communities in California regarding voting and being arrested if they are not a citizen.
Read the whole story here http://cbs2.com/local/local_story_296153158.html
And also if you saw the movie American Blackout, that is another example.

I said why is it that Republicans seem to use alot of dirty tatics. I know that there are some of each party that do as well. They seem to get away with attacking people more such as immigrants, homosexuals, and anyone that questions authority are liberals and put the blames on other peopl, and people think it is fine with that. That's appalling. I realize that the Gov. is in shambles, and everyone is fighting for the next election.

That's the way they ride.
Look at recent ads against Bob Casey and Harold Ford. They trashed McCain (prisoner of war), Cleeland (lost three limbs in service to this country), and Kerry (fought on swiftboat in Viet Nam) - all with lies and mis-characterisation. People are supporting Rush for shamefully going after Michael J. Fox.
The tactics of today's Republican party disgust me.
daydoom: Obviously, you didn't read the story. The guy sent letters to legal residents and tried to decieve them. Even the Republican party denounced it (and that's saying something).

It's ignorant to say one party plays dirty pool more than the other. Almost all of them do, that's the nature of the game, whether that's how it should be or not. Every time I turn on the TV they are talking about the scandalous Republicans, not the Dems, and that's not just because the Republicans are the only ones being scandalous. Generally, whoever is in power will get more trash thrown at them, which is what's happening now. The Dems are doing anything they can to get the vote, and congress, to swing their way. It would be refreshing to see some honest politics.
By the way, I am generally a Democrat, so I am not biased in my answer. It's just honest.

i imagine the most dirty politics have already befell between Obama and Hillary. It became a unclean knife strive against and far of blood became spilled. Politics is dirty no count number who or what's being suggested. Its referred to as, make the different guy seem undesirable so that you seem good. in basic terms seem at how the media and all the liberals blame Bush for something that takes position. Katrina - Bush did it. commute blowing up - Bush did it. Earthquake in Japan - Bush did it. Blizzards contained in the Midwest - Bush Did it. you'll hear a lot of dirty being tossed round, some by technique of "0.33 party" communities appearing as "employed guns" without direct links to the politicians. it is going to be interesting because Obama has no music list in Congress to speak of so, he must be taken at face fee. obviously, like the Hillary marketing campaign suggested, " any vote adverse to Obama, your racist."

I agree, republicans are dirty....but let's be real here Brent. Do you think democrats are clean?
Regardless of who you vote for.....You will still pay between 18%-28% of YOUR hard earned money to the government. Then the money you have left to live on will be taxed everytime you buy something.
WAKE UP!!!
This whole "Republican vs. Democrat", Right vs. Left concept IS A SHAM! Both parties are cheating the average american.

Like the George Soros backed ACORN which has been found to be submitting hundreds of forged voter registration cards?
Or like the box of ballots that was magically *found* in Washington in 2004 that gave the Democrat gubernatorial candidate just enough votes to win the 2nd recount?
Or the 2004 tire slashing of GOP "Get Out The Vote" vans by children of Democrat party officials?
Or the 2000 Democrat attempt to disfranchise overseas US military members?
Or the college students who celebrated the fact they got to vote Democrat multiple times?
Or the Democrats' insistance on not requiring people to prove they are legal voters or even who they say they are.
Or the Wayne Country (Detroit) Election Official who sent out paid agents to 'help' the infirmed and elderly fill out their absentee ballots.
Yes, that's what I think about when I hear about 'dirty politics'.

The only reason the Dems want illegals to vote is because that is the only way for them to get elected. The illegals come here for:
1. Welfare
2. state medical assistance (God knows they have enough babies, that my tax dollars pay for)
We all know Dems are big on both of these issues. The "Big Giveway Programs" If Dems could have it their way the military budget would be cut in half, and they would up taxes, so we can pay for some more illegal babies to be born in the USA. Makes me sick!

Republicans are good at two things:
1. Dirty politics/character assassination
2. Playing the victim card and crying when someone fights back.

Are you saying that Democrats don't use dirty politics. So you went and found a liberal news source. they are a dime a dozen. Then you quote some obscure movie that was most likely directed by some extreme liberal. Seems like all you have is a one sided opinion backed by people with your ideology. That isn't very open minded.

A culture of corruption has enveloped the Republican Party. It's enabled them to win elections and stay in power.

actually it's the same for both parties. Maybe it sounds heavier on the Republican side because they are in the whitehouse. And heavier for both sides because computers now reach all over the world and a lot faster than in past times.
I noticed you asked one question, then proposed two examples that were unrelated.
