I am predicting that the Republicans will lose the house but keep the Senate. I would like to add that I truly believe that most Republicans are the most self-righteous, ignorant, selfish people on the face of this earth. They are only out for the filthy rich, and not the middle class. I have never been on welfare in my life and have worked all of my adult life. Bush and his administrative need to protect the middle class. We are a democracy, not a "rich and poor" country. The United States in the past has always taken pride in our working, middle class. But it is quite evident that Bush and his administration would love for this country to be only "the filthy rich and the poor." Shame on them.

Yes, they will lose the House, that has become clear. The Senate is the hard one to call.

I believe they will lose the House. The Senate is just to close to call and I think it could go either way.

They will. The American public is tired of the corruption, lies, and getting the rich richer and the middle classed being squeezed.
Anyone who votes for the Republicans in the House that knew about Mark Foley and did nothing should be ashamed. The people who did this should be arrested not running for re-election. Where has our justice system gone?
The fact that the President came out and supports the speaker on this matter, shows he cares more about his party than his own children. I cannot fathom this. I have a daughter, and if it was her someone was preying on. They deal with me. And I will bless them, give them water and food to drink and eat. And God will place burning coals upon their head.

I hope not. I do not need my taxes raised to the point where it was when the Democrats held both houses before.

Various polls, respected political commentators and even some spokespersons from the Republican party itself, suggest the distinct possibility of either or both of these things happening. An interesting thought, anyway.
