At the end of the movie you get the impression that it is Sharon Stone as while her and Michael Douglas are lying in bed you see her reach under the bed and then after a while reach back but she is empty handed and then the camera zooms down to under the bed and you see an ice pick (just like the ones that killed everyone else) but they never quite say and leave it like that. Hope that helped.

Good question i believe it was left ambiguous and open for debate certainly as it could have been between miss stone or mikes wife at least
